Can I “Hot Swap “ the IPM’s on my charger? +

“Hot Swapping” refers to the exchange of IPM Modules without removing power to the charger unit. The IPM’s of the BC-2500 can be removed without removing power to the entire unit

If my charger has 8 slots for IPM’s, can I install only six? +

Yes, Each IPM

What is the maximum distance my charger can be from my batteries? +

The maximum distance is determined by gauge of the wire used to make this connections. Please consult the users manual for additional information on maximum cable lengths

Can I remotely program my charger? +

Yes, the charger can be remotely programmed through a web enabled Ethernet connection

What is an UIM? +

The User Interface Module (UIM) is the main control center of the charger. It is an integral piece of the main cabinet that contains the external communication devices and manual programming rotary switches

What is an IPM? +

The Intelligent Power Module (IPM) is the replaceable power module. The BC-2500 charger can hold up to 8 IPMs

Can my BC-2500 Charger be integrated into my SCADA System +

Yes, BC-2500 can communicate to SCADA platforms via the Ethernet connection using SMP communication protocols

Are there dry contact alarm outputs for remote communication? +

Yes, the connections to the alarm outputs are accessible on the UIM. They can either be programmed using the rotary switches on the UIM or through the remote Ethernet connection

How can I download the logs from my charger? +

Yes, the charge logs can be downloaded through either a direct or remote Ethernet connection to the charger

What are the LED’s on the IPM’s indicating +

The LED’s on the IPM are used to display charge status and any alarm conditions that may occur. Please see the user manual for additional explanations
